How to sell a card in four steps

All you need are two photos (front and back, for graded cards the slab including the label) and one minute.

• 1. Find the card: search the catalog by player, set or card number. The catalog knows parallels, serial numbers and grading variants – so your card ends up on the right shelf.
• 2. Set condition and price: raw or graded (PSA, BGS, SGC, CGC), condition, price. The market value from recent sales helps you decide. You can allow or switch off offers from buyers.
• 3. Sold: you get an e-mail and a push notification. Within 5 days you ship the card and enter the tracking number.
• 4. Payout: once the buyer confirms receipt – at the latest 7 days after delivery – your money is released and transferred to your payout account.

What can you sell?

Anything that is a sports card: soccer (Topps Chrome Bundesliga, Champions League, Panini Prizm Premier League, Match Attax and historic Panini stickers), basketball (NBA Prizm, Select, Donruss, Hoops), American football, baseball, ice hockey, Formula 1 and motorsport, tennis, golf, UFC and wrestling. Single cards, lots, graded slabs, rookie cards, autograph and patch cards, numbered parallels.

The only requirement: real cards, with your own photos and an honest description. Unmarked reprints, other people's photos or wrong condition claims are not allowed and are removed after a report.

Finding the right price

The most common mistake when selling sports cards is a price anchored to old buy-it-now listings instead of real sales. When you list a card, CARDLEAGUE shows you the market value: the median of the most recent actual sales of exactly this card in exactly this condition. If your price is well above it, you get a friendly hint with a suggestion after 30 days – the decision stays yours.

Good photos sell: daylight, no reflections, the whole card in frame, corners and edges visible. For graded cards the certificate number belongs in the photo. Sellers who describe corners, surface and centering honestly get better reviews and fewer questions.

Shipping, fees and payout

Cards ship within Germany and to the whole EU. From €50.00 in value, tracked shipping is mandatory, from €150.00 insured shipping – that protects you if a parcel gets lost. Pack cards in a penny sleeve and toploader, graded cards with extra padding.

The fee is 5% of the card price (at most €500.00 per card), the same for private and business sellers. Payouts go through our payment provider to your bank account; the one-time verification with ID and bank account takes about five minutes and protects everyone from fraud.

Selling a whole collection? To dealers or at card shows

If you don't feel like photographing a hundred cards one by one, create a sell request: verified dealers from across Europe see your list and make you offers. Compare at your leisure and accept the best one – the dealer pays the fee (3%), for you the service is free.
